Responding to the twinge
It is certainly not so nice to feel the twinge in our stomach when the
financial market is shaking as well as our bank account. We want to
make sure that we have the certainty and security for our future. We
actually do so many things to create this 'peace of mind'. Working hard
for money, saving and investing wisely, buying property, getting life
insurance, even having the cup of coffee and chocolate can be pretty
much for the 'peace of mind'.
But there are other ways as well to respond to the twinge.
Buy1GIVE1 Business owner Susie Ascott is a yoga teacher who teaches this and a lot more. This is what happens with Susie's yoga classes.
“Each time you attend a Yoga class with me, a child in Africa is funded to attend school for a day.”
Spreading the joy of giving
She explains her passion for being part of the giving movement,
“I thought I understood the principle of giving and was surprised at the immense joy I felt the minute I became a Business Member with B1G1. Suddenly, I had made a shift in my business and everyday life which brought me several degrees closer to fulfilling my mission of ‘Bringing More Joy into the World.’ It’s so easy and natural and fills me with joy. I hope it makes everyone feel the same way!”
Yes, Yoga and meditation certainly does help us create peace of mind internally. And when our world becomes full of giving and caring, we may not have to seek it quite so hard any more.
Giving exists more in simple communities. And in those communities, less fear exists because they all know they are there to support each other no matter what.
Susie's gift is now inspiring others to give as well. Her Yoga classes are now spreading beyond our own peace of mind. 'Stretching out' to others in need.
