B1G1 is a global movement where businesses, charities and consumers come together in a way that has not been done before. It’s a place that was initially designed for businesses around the world to stand up collectively to make a difference through the enormous leverage that businesses have.
That’s why this is a place where every business transaction makes a difference. Where just small amounts (almost unnoticeable amounts) are given back in a measurable, resonant way; every second, every day and in every way. So businesses give consistently, sustainably and in a connected heartfelt way.
You buy a book, a tree gets planted; you buy a coffee, a child in Africa gets access to water. All automatically. So giving becomes a part of our every day lives, not something we do just when disaster strikes or when someone rattles a 'donate' tin under our nose.
Right now, B1G1 Businesses operate in 14 countries and support nearly 700 Worthy Cause projects in 22 countries around the world.

And as we grew, people who did not own or run businesses increasingly said, ‘Hang on, this is such a great concept, other than becoming customers of those businesses, we want to be involved in B1G1 in whatever way we can.’
So we then created quite a unique place to allow that to happen – the B1G1 Global Village. And it’s an inspiring place.
As an individual, you can join the Village absolutely for free. You can do magical things in the ‘Residential Area’. For example, you can buy a virtual house and by so doing, give accommodation to a homeless person for over a year! And then you can get your friends to do the same thing and combine together to give an entire homeless family a home for the rest of their lives.
Or you can buy virtual forests in the Eco Village. And you can go shopping in the Village too and give back as you do it. What's more, you can become a visitor to the Village totally for free knowing that every time you give through the village that 100% of your giving goes direct to the Worthy Cause concerned.
So that might raise a question with you – how on earth does B1G1 continue to operate then?
Well, B1G1 Businesses pay a small fee to cover their membership of B1G1. Some other Businesses feel so good about what B1G1’s doing that they sponsor various programs. And some individuals just get so inspired by what’s going on here that they contribute as well to supporting the work that B1G1 does around the world too.
And once you’re a visitor, you can choose to do that as well if you'd like to. (By the way, when you do do that, we give you a new 'designation' – a B1G1 ‘Citizen’ – plus a neat looking 'citizen card').
Whichever way you do it, when you’re a part of B1G1, you’re playing a part in creating a more giving world together. You’re playing your part in making the impossible possible.
In the B1G1 Global Village, you’re able to blog, to share, to create and take part in discussions and, of course, to visit the Residential Area, the Eco Forest and the Industrial Area too. Plus, you’ll find it easy to spread the word about B1G1 too – we hope you’ll do that a lot!
To play your part, just take a trip now to the Village (absolutley for free as a visitor) by clicking the 'Global Giving Village' button below. Or if you wish to make a voluntary contribution to support B1G1's activities further as a personal sponsor, just click the 'Support' button (you'll then see some specific things you can do to make a difference). Whichever way you choose, we hope you’ll love what you see and experience.
