What is B1G1?
Buy1Give1Free™ (B1G1™) is a Global Service that ‘matches’ businesses with Worthy Causes on a 'buy 1 give 1 free' basis.
By that we mean every time a business sells a product they automatically contribute a sum of money to their selected Worthy Cause partner in a very SPECIFIC way.
But B1G1 is NOT limited to Businesses. Everyone can now be a part of B1G1 (see B1G1 PERSONAL below).
B1G1 BUSINESS Members can select (and/or ask us to search for) a Worthy Cause that resonates with them and with their customers. The range is as diverse and creative as you could imagine; from sending under-privileged children to school to giving cataract-blind people the gift of sight.
B1G1 then sets up highly SPECIFIC transaction-related giving for the Business Member. For example, a hotel plants a tree for every guest; a property developer provides homes for the under-privileged, a training company provides training materials for the poor; a muesli manufacturer feeds starving children. So am I giving products or money?
You’re giving money to the value of what it would cost to purchase the product in the local economy of your Worthy Cause Partner. For example, in India it costs US 25c to feed a child a meal. Or just a few dollars to plant a tree and look after it. Or helping a child go to school might cost just a few dollars too.
You simply tell B1G1 two key things: how much you believe you can reasonably contribute per transaction and what you’re passionate about giving to. And then B1G1 finds the perfect partner for you. For example, a web-based marketing company selling meditation CD’s figured they could contribute $5 per $200 sale. They also said they wanted to give back to abused women. So B1G1 found a hostel for young women in Cambodia who’d been rescued from the sex trade. It took $5 per treatment of the trauma they’d been through. A perfect match! The business continues to boom. Do I need to put my prices up to cover the contribution?

How do I know the worthy cause gets the money?
Simple - they can provide you with a receipt if you require this.
What is the difference between Business Membership and Business Partnership?
B1G1 Business Membership is charged annually (currently just US$960 or under $19 per week). And there’s nothing else to pay to get the boost that B1G1 gives your sales through all the great marketing ‘goodies’ that come to you as part of your B1G1 Membership.
B1G1 Partnership is a special limited-time offer where you get all of the business-building benefits of B1G1 for a period of 5 years. Partnership also gives you some additional marketing impact and (because currently Partnership is just US$2800) it works out to just over $10 per week to get that extra impact on your business.

What are the key benefits B1G1 brings to Worthy Causes?
Simply put - cash flow and ease of raising funds. When you become part of B1G1 you have the opportunity to attract funds for a fixed period (minimum of one year) from our dedicated business members. You could potentially be partnered with several partners who believe in your cause and are willing to sponsor you through their business giving. Businesses agree to pay at fixed periods based on sales so you know a year in advance the anticipated funds flowing your way based on historical company sales.
We also receive funds from the public. Our established and top quality Worthy Cause partners have the opportunity to be able to receive these funds.
Can we choose which companies we work with?
Yes of course. There maybe some companies that you feel would not be suitable partners for you for whatever reason. You have full control.
How much does it cost to be a B1G1 member as a Worthy Cause?
A nominal one-off membership and registration fee of US$200 is charged to non-profits. See below as to how to get FREE membership.
Do you take a percentage of the contributions made?
100% of all contributions are paid to you less standard bank transfer fees.
Are there any other fees?
No other ongoing fees are paid up front by your Worthy Cause organisation.
Is there a way to receive membership for FREE?B1G1 as part of its social giving provides a free membership to a Worthy Cause for each full paying business membership it receives.
B1G1 also receives donations from time to time. These will often be used to provide Worthy Cause with free B1G1 membership.
