Buy1GIVE1 - B1G1 - where business comes to give.

The Australian Business Awards  for 2009 were announced over the weekend.

And at B1G1 we’re thrilled that one of our B1G1 Partners, Affinity Maker , has been honoured with the award in the Innovation category.

We’re not surprised that the judges of this quite prestigious award have honoured Robin Power and his team at Affinity Maker. They’ve done wonderful things for us in B1G1.

Specifically they’ve helped manage and define B1G1’s move into the Corporate marketplace. Until just a few months ago, B1G1’s focus was almost exclusively on the SME (small-t-medium-scale-enterprise) marketplace. Now, thanks to Affinity Maker, we’re getting in front of and really resonating with what people refer to as ‘the top end town’.

And it's been quite astonishing – to be able to meet Senior Executives of 3 of our top banks in separate two-hour meetings in one day just illustrates the power of what Affinity Make does. And the banks LOVE the power of B1G1 giving too.

The Australian Business Awards are a national, all-encompassing awards program honouring organisations that demonstrate the core values of business excellence, product excellence, sustainability and commercial success in their respective industries. Entries are separated by industry classification per award category and evaluated in accordance with the award criteria across seven main areas: leadership & strategy, impact on industry, adaptability & sustainability, human resource management, customer relationship management, process management and evidence of success.

The criteria for the assessment of products and services comprise of the following main areas: performance, technology, visual appeal, cost-effectiveness, benefits to the user, sustainability and compliance. The judging panel is carefully selected and coordinated by the Australian Business Awards to ensure that the judging process is fair and objective, free of bias or influence.

Established in 2003, the Australian Business Awards is an independent organisation incorporated in Australia as a proprietary limited company. Specialising in Quality Management, the Australian Business Awards administer and coordinate The Australian Business Awards™ program. As a private sector initiative, the Australian Business Awards is not affiliated with any larger or controlling entity to avoid any potential conflict of interest and does not rely on the financial support of government or other organisations.
